India has millions of developers but our open source contribution is relatively low compared to our numbers. I’ve been contributing to various projects for 3 years now and it’s been amazing for my career growth.

Barriers I’ve noticed:

• Companies don’t encourage it
• Lack of awareness about how to start
• Fear of code being judged
